Judgemental is a 2009 AQHA Gray Stallion
(b. June 4, 2009 d. May 13, 2018)
We lost our stallion Judgemental (Judge Cash x Feature Coup) on Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was Sterling’s mount that day for moving cattle out of timber for a neighbor. While going over a fallen log, a branch punctured a major artery and in just a few minutes he was gone. This striking gray was becoming a Long Pines icon because of his outstanding conformation, easy-going and pleasing nature, plus the exceptional ability his young offspring are already showing. His sire, the incredible Judge Cash, died last fall. His dam, Long Pines’ Feature Coup, is also gone. It ends in the beautiful land of northwest South Dakota.
Judgemental is sired by Judge Cash, SI 110, with earnings of $115,936. His dam, Feature Coup’s offspring have earnings from NRCHA and barrel racing plus AQHA points. In fact, Larry’s favorite saddle horse is out of this nice mare that was part of the ranch herd for years. Judgemental got a late start under the saddle, but took to it immediately. He had a very good temperament and ran in the pasture with our mares, young horses and geldings.
Judgemental’s sire, Judge Cash, is very well known in the barrel horse world. His offspring have earned well over $1 million in pro and 4D barrel races. On the track, Judge Cash produced a world champion, seven superior runners, numerous graded stakes winners, and earners that have tallied over $1 million. Of his 108 offspring who have earned Register of Merits, 70 have been two-year-olds when receiving them and 55 of them have been 90 SI (or AAA) or better. Judge Cash offspring include: 2010 AQHA/WPRA Barrel Horse of the Year (Brenda May’s famous National Finals Rodeo horse “Jethro”, who made six trips the finals with her), two NFR barrel horses as well as grandson and granddaughter NFR barrel horses; 2012 National High School Rodeo Champion Barrel Horse, 2013 third place National High School Rodeo Barrel Horse, and a 2012 College National Finals Rodeo Barrel qualifier.
