Mia Lil Pink brought the All-Around Open National Championship home to Long Pines from the inaugural National Ranch and Stock Horse Alliance (NRSHA) Championship Show in 2018. Pink, ridden by trainer Justin Lawrence, was also champion in open cutting and reserve champion in ranch riding. And that’s just the beginning of the stellar competitive ability she is expected to pass on to her offspring. But, she is no stranger to ranch work, where she has done most every job, from branding, pasture roping and covering miles of country.
Pink is a beautiful mare with a strong, correct conformation, great disposition and outstanding work ethic. Her cutting is electric, and her reining moves are precise yet graceful. As for fence work – well, she’s a standout.
We purchased Pink as a youngster from Double Diamond T Ranch (Bill and Janiejill Tointon). She is sired by Tointons' great reined cow horse stallion Shining Lil Nic (Smart Shiner x Dig a Lil Nic), whose earnings exceed $163,000. At the 2009 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity, Shining Lil Nic (SLN) was both the Open Two-Rein and Open Bridle Champion, followed by winning the NRCHA Derby Open Two-Rein and topping the NRCHA National Standings Open Two-Rein. In 2010, he was NRCHA World Show Open Two-Rein Champion.
Pink is out of Lean With Mia (Lean With Me x Ima Lovergirl), who earned more than $23,000 in the NRCHA and AQHA. Lean With Mia had an excellent show career, including AQHA 2007 High Point Amateur Versatility Ranch Horse-5th Place; AQHA World Show qualifier in amateur divisions of Versatility Ranch Horse and Working Cow Horse World Show; ROM in Performance; 23 Performance Points.
Pink’s maternal grandsire, Lean on Me, was NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Reserve Champion; AQHA World Champion Sr. Reining and Jr. Working Cowhorse, Superior Horse-Reining; and NRHA Derby Open Champion.
Bettin Yer Smart foals born in 2019 and beyond are NRCHA Stallion Stakes eligible. Horses by Bettin Yer Smart and Judgemental are eligible for AQHA Ranchers Heritage and SDRCHA Stallion Stakes.
