Shota Shiney Whiskey (Hickory) came to Long Pines at the same time we bought her dam, Shiney Vaca Reina (Shiney). Sterling purchased her as one of his first projects, and he picked an outstanding one!

What an incredible pedigree! Within 3 generations are Paddys Irish Whiskey, Peppy San Badger, Doc O Dynamite, Vaca Rey, Smart Little Lena, Autumn Boon and Shining Spark.

Hickory is an outstanding cow horse that Sterling can literally do anything with on the ranch or at ranch rodeos. Her half-siblings show a lot of versatility and talent. Tuff Vaca Rey is a winning high school and college rodeo horse. The three by Bettin Yer Smart are special: Smart Vaca Reina made a name for herself in reined cow horse, Yer Copper Penny went to the same home as Tuff Vaca Rey for a rodeo horse, and Vaca Roulette has recently started in Sterling's ranch program.
